Vallco Status

Updated September 12, 2020: Clarified the Judge in the FoBC v. City of Cupertino case ruled that residential parking garages would count as residential square footage and that the office and retail parking garages would not count as office and retail square footage.

The Vallco SB 35 project was challenged in court, and despite there being issues with the ruling, it was decided to not appeal for various reasons. The city has various documents which are needed to be submitted before any further permits may be issued, and there was never a court-ordered injunction to halt construction on the project. The city posted the following information on August 14 apparently in response to a news article:
